There are few things more meaningful than making each other's wedding rings by hand. This half-day workshop with Gabby Leigh gives you and your partner the time, tools, and expert guidance to create a pair of rings that are entirely your own, shaped by your hands, and carrying exactly the significance you bring to them.

What to expect

Gabby will guide you through every stage of the process, offering clear instruction, reassurance, and the kind of attentive support that comes from over 30 years of teaching metalwork. Whether you arrive with a clear design in mind or just a feeling you want to explore, Gabby will help you find your way into the work.

By the end of your session you will leave with two beautifully crafted pieces of jewellery, made by your own hands, enriched with intention and personal significance.

These sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced makers. You will feel informed, confident, and well supported throughout.

Bringing your own materials

You are welcome to bring your own gold or silver. Incorporating metal that carries sentimental or family value, such as a parent's ring, an inherited chain, or something passed down, adds another layer of meaning to your finished pieces. Gabby can advise you on this before your session.

Not just for weddings

While wedding rings are at the heart of this workshop, the session is equally suited to anyone wanting to create a ring to mark an important personal milestone, honour a remembrance, or simply make something that means something. Individual bookings are also welcome.

  • No experience is needed at all. Gabby will guide you through every stage of the process, from the very beginning. All tools and materials are provided.

  • Sessions run to around half a day. The exact length will depend on the style and complexity of the rings you choose to make.

  • In most cases yes. Depending on the style and process involved, your rings may need a little additional finishing. Gabby will talk this through with you before your session so you know what to expect.

  • The workshop is guided by your ideas. Gabby will help you develop a design that is achievable within your session and beautiful to wear.

  • Sessions are available in silver and gold. You are also welcome to bring your own gold or silver if you would like to incorporate metal with sentimental or family value.

  • Hallmarking is not currently included but is something Gabby is actively exploring. If this is important to you, please mention it when you get in touch and she will advise on the latest options available.
