Led by Gabby Leigh, a qualified teacher, practising artist and technical instructor on the BA 3D Design and Craft course at the University of Brighton. These sessions are designed around the individual child. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Gabby understands that every learner is different, particularly those who thrive outside traditional educational settings.

A different approach to learning

Home-educated children often flourish when they are given freedom to follow their curiosity. Art provides the perfect opportunity to develop independent thinking, problem-solving skills and self-expression while mastering practical techniques.

Sessions are lively, engaging and hands-on. Students work with a wide range of professional materials and processes, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, wirework, casting techniques and creative design projects.

Rather than following a rigid curriculum, Gabby adapts each session to suit the learner. Children are challenged at the right level, encouraged to experiment and supported to achieve more than they thought possible.

Supporting neurodiverse learners

Gabby has extensive experience working with dyslexic, neurodivergent and highly creative young people. Her teaching celebrates different ways of thinking and learning, creating an environment where children feel understood, valued and capable.

Many families choose home education because conventional classrooms do not meet their child's needs. These sessions provide a calm, supportive and inspiring space where creativity becomes a strength rather than something that has to fit into a box.

GCSE and A-Level Art Support

For students studying GCSE or A-Level Art, specialist support is available throughout the course.

This includes:
